Preparing for launch…
36 cold-email templates across 6 sequences, plus the playbook, reply scripts, research checklist and tracker to run them as a system.

ColdStart is a complete cold-outreach system for B2B founders doing their own outbound. At its core are 36 email templates organised into 6 sequences: two sets of openers (problem-led and trigger-led, keyed to events like funding rounds, job ads, launches and shared communities), a six-rung follow-up ladder where every touch adds something new, six break-up variants, six referral asks, and six re-engagement templates for prospects who went quiet or said "later". Every template ships with a subject line (most with an A/B alternate), personalisation slots written as {{like_this}}, and a one-line "why this works" so you understand the mechanism behind the words. Templates alone don't book meetings — the system around them does. The sequencing playbook gives you the full 8-touch, 35-day cadence, domain warm-up and volume rules that keep you out of spam, the five threshold numbers that tell you exactly what to fix when results stall, testing rules, a weekly operating rhythm, and a plain-English compliance section covering Australia, the US and the EU/UK. The reply-handling decision tree classifies every reply into seven types and gives you a ready-to-adapt response script for each, including all four common objections. The research checklist turns personalisation into a routine: a fill-once master sheet for the slots about you, three research tiers (2, 5 or 15 minutes, matched to account value), a 90-second trigger sweep, and a 30-second pre-send quality gate that stops a raw merge field ever reaching a prospect. It's built for founders and early sales hires selling B2B who need pipeline before they can justify an SDR. Nothing assumes a sales background: the README walks you through a 90-minute setup, the tracker CSV comes with ten worked example rows showing exactly how real situations get logged, and a fictional worked example runs through the checklist, tracker and demo so you can see how the pieces connect. The slot convention works with sequencing tools like Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist and Apollo, or plain Gmail at founder volumes. You could write 36 emails yourself — most founders write three, send them to fifty people, hear nothing and conclude outbound doesn't work. What you're buying is the system that took the writing, the cadence maths, the objection scripts and the operating rhythm off your plate: open the demo, read one sequence, and judge whether the words would sound like you.
- 36 email templates across 6 sequence files (2 opener sets, follow-up ladder, break-ups, referral asks, re-engagement), each with subject lines, {{personalisation}} slots and a "why this works" note - Sequencing playbook: 8-touch/35-day cadence, deliverability and warm-up rules, performance thresholds with fixes, testing rules, weekly rhythm, compliance basics - Reply-handling decision tree with response scripts for all 7 reply types including 4 objection scripts - Personalisation research checklist: fill-once master sheet, 3 research tiers, 90-second trigger sweep, pre-send quality gate - Pipeline tracker CSV with defined columns, allowed status/reply values and 10 worked example rows - README with a step-by-step 90-minute setup and sequencing-tool import guide
- No software, sending tool or automation — these are templates and process documents you use with your own email or sequencing tool - No prospect lists, contact data or email-finding service - No spreadsheet formulas or xlsx file — the tracker is a plain CSV you open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers - No done-for-you customisation, copywriting review or legal advice — the compliance section is practical guidance only
An email account you can send from (a secondary domain is recommended and covered in the playbook); any text editor or markdown viewer to read the files; Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers for the tracker CSV. A sequencing tool (Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, Apollo or similar) is optional — the system also runs manually at founder volumes.
1. Unzip the download and open deliverables/README-setup.md — it is the guided version of these steps. 2. Read deliverables/playbook.md end to end once (about 20 minutes) to understand the cadence, volume ramp and thresholds. 3. Open deliverables/research-checklist.md section 1 and fill in your master sheet of fill-once slots ({{one_liner}}, {{customer_result}}, {{cost_estimate}} and the rest) — about 45 minutes, and the highest-leverage step. 4. Open deliverables/pipeline-tracker.csv in your spreadsheet app, read the 10 example rows, then delete them and add your first real prospects. 5. Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your sending domain per playbook.md section 2 before sending anything. 6. Research your first 10 prospects with the checklist, pick openers from sequences/01 or 02, fill the slots, run the pre-send quality gate, send and log. 7. Follow the cadence table for follow-ups, route every reply through deliverables/reply-handling.md, and run the weekly numbers check from the playbook.
Single-project commercial licence. You may use, adapt and send these templates and documents for outreach on behalf of one business you own or work for, including modifying every file to fit your voice and offer. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or repackage the files or any substantial portion of them (including as part of another template pack, course or product), and you may not share the files publicly. Purchase a separate licence for each additional business or client project.
14-day refund policy: if the product is materially not as described on this page, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Please try the demo first — it shows five complete templates exactly as they appear in the files, so you can judge the writing quality and format before buying. Refunds are not offered for change of mind. An approved refund ends your licence to the product — you must delete all copies of the files and stop using them.
Email support covers questions about applying the system to your ICP, importing templates into a sequencing tool, tracker setup, and interpreting your threshold numbers. It does not cover custom copywriting, list building or legal advice.
