BlockForge — White-Label Block Puzzle Game

What it does & who it's for

BlockForge is a complete block puzzle game, built to be rebranded and published. Players drag pieces onto the board, fill a row or a column to clear it, and chain clears into a combo multiplier.

Brand it without code. Open the Theme Configurator, start from one of five preset themes or set everything yourself — game name, tagline, logo, font, colours, one of four block styles (rounded, bevel, flat or gem), one of three sound packs or silence, board size (8×8, 9×9 or 10×10), difficulty and the scoring and combo dials — and press Play the preview to try your version in the real game. It checks your colours for readable contrast as you go. Download config.js, drop it into the game folder, and the game is yours. The configurator can import that file again later, so a theme is never lost.

What players get. A placement preview that highlights exactly which rows and columns will clear before a piece is dropped, a one-move undo, hints, pause, a three-step tutorial on the first round, best scores kept in the player's own browser, and a round that survives a refresh. It plays by touch, mouse or keyboard (arrow keys, 1–3 to pick a piece, Enter to drop), describes the board to screen readers as the cursor moves, and switches off screen shake and particles for players whose device asks for reduced motion.

Earn from it your way. Ad slots — top banner, bottom banner, both, or between rounds — are empty, labelled containers for your own ad code. There is a hook for a rewarded continue after a game over, an optional button on the game-over panel for your own link, and an analytics hook that hands your code 17 named events. BlockForge itself ships no ad network, analytics or tracking code, and never sends anything anywhere.

Publish it anywhere static files go. There is no server, database or build step: upload the game folder. Served over HTTPS it includes a web app manifest and a service worker, so browsers that support it can install it, and a player who has opened it once can play again with no connection. Both the game and the configurator also open straight from a folder on your computer. The guides cover embedding it in an existing page and wrapping it for the App Store and Google Play with Capacitor — including why stores reject a reskin that changes nothing.

Change the game itself. The full TypeScript source is included. The rules engine is plain TypeScript with no rendering in it, covered by 43 tests, and pieces are written as text art. The customising guide walks through adding shapes, retuning the scoring, and building a daily challenge, a puzzle mode with set boards and a timed mode.

Try the game and the configurator in the demo before you buy — the demo is the download, not a video of it.

What's included

  • game/ — the built game, ready to upload or to open from a folder
  • configurator/ — the built Theme Configurator, with five preset themes
  • source/ — the full TypeScript source, with 43 tests for the rules engine
  • Four guides: every setting, changing the rules, embedding, and app stores
  • A README, a commercial licence, and the licence notice for Phaser
  • 86 files, about 3.9 MB unzipped

What's not included

  • No ad network, analytics or tracking code: the ad slots and the analytics hook stay empty until you connect your own
  • No server, accounts or online leaderboard: best scores are kept in each player's own browser
  • No app-store builds: the app-store guide explains wrapping the game with Capacitor, which is your own project
  • No image or audio files to swap: blocks are drawn and sounds are synthesised in code, and your logo is set in config.js
  • No multiplayer

Requirements

  • A current browser, to play the game and to use the Theme Configurator
  • A static host to publish it: Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, Amazon S3, or a folder on your existing site
  • Optional: Node.js 18 or later, only if you change the source and rebuild it

Not needed to brand and publish it: npm, a build step, a database, a server, or an account with anyone.

Setup instructions

  1. Unzip the download and open configurator/configurator.html in your browser.
  2. Pick a preset or set your name, logo, colours, block style, sound and rules. Press Play the preview to try your version.
  3. Click Download config.js and put it in game/, replacing the config.js already there.
  4. Open game/index.html to check it. Then change the title in game/index.html, the name and colours in game/manifest.webmanifest, and the icons in game/icons/.
  5. Upload the contents of game/ to any static host.

README.md covers republishing updates; documentation/ covers every setting, embedding the game and publishing to app stores.

Licence & terms

Licence terms

Non-exclusive commercial licence. Publish the game commercially under your own name or a client's, on as many sites, apps and app-store listings as you like; change anything — rules, artwork, copy, scoring, layout or code; and charge for it through paid downloads, in-app purchases, advertising or sponsorship, or as part of a larger product. You may use it in paid client work. The licence does not expire and has no reporting, attribution or revenue share, and you own whatever you add. You may not resell, sub-license or give away BlockForge as a template, game kit, source pack, starter project or course resource — a game you have rebranded and published is fine; the source as a product is not — or claim exclusivity. Phaser, the framework BlockForge is built on, stays under its own MIT licence: keep THIRD-PARTY.md with the game you ship. Full terms in LICENCE.md.

Refund policy

14-day refund if the product is materially not as described — for example the game or the configurator does not run, files are missing from the download, or the product does not match this listing. Change of mind is excluded: the full game and the Theme Configurator are both usable here before you buy, so you can check the product itself rather than a description of it. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. An approved refund ends the licence: delete your copies.

Support terms

Email support for 12 months from purchase, for setup questions and for defects in what this listing describes. Email support@launchstock.app or reply to your receipt, and a person answers. Defects are fixed free within that period; help with your own changes to the code is not included.

These terms are snapshotted at purchase — what you see here is what applies to your order.
